Southern California Edison, Rosemead, CA.  2009-2025

Project Manager.  Measurement, Evaluation, and Verification.

Responsible for management and support of more than $40 million of program evaluation research projects for Southern California Edison’s State-regulated Energy Efficiency Programs within the company’s Customer Programs and Services Division.  

 

Edwards Consulting, Los Angeles, CA.  1997-2009

Educational Product Evaluation Research Consultant.  Multiple Clients. 

Provided evaluation consulting services for various small and fortune 500 organizations.  Projects included published academic research, program evaluations, product design research, educational testing, and market research.  

 

Milken Family Foundation.  Museum of Creativity Project.  Santa Monica, CA. 1996–1997

Associate Curator.  

Recruited from University of Chicago for knowledge and expertise on the study and understanding of creativity.   Led multidisciplinary teams to research and design interesting and innovative, and scientifically sound exhibit concepts on creativity as part of developing a Museum of Creativity.  which included 75,000 square feet of exhibits, 40 acres of themed gardens, budgeted at $120M.  

 

The University of Chicago.  Chicago, IL.  1991-1996.

Research Fellow.  

Assisted with grant applications and ran large academic studies and managed grants to support innovative research on Creativity including:  The Creativity in Later Life Project and The Humane Creativity Project. Research documented in doctoral dissertation in 1995 and later published in “Creativity in Later Life”

Ph.D., University of Chicago, Chicago, IL.  1996.  Committee on Human Development.  Dissertation:  The construction of extraordinary selves: A life span study of creative individuals.  Awarded prestigious (National) 4-year scholarship for potential to contribute to the field of psychology.

 

M.S.  Tufts University, Boston, MA.  1989.  Applied Child Development.  Theses:  The Development of Aesthetic Judgement.

 

B.A., Northwestern University, Evanston, IL.  1985.

Double major:  Fine art & Human Development and Social Policy.  Studied under renowned Chicago painters and Northwestern Professors, Ed Paschke and William Conger.  Graduated college in 3 years, received numerous academic awards and participated in several juried shows during college.
