About Me
My artistic journey traces back to Chicago, where I began painting more than forty years ago. During my years in college at Northwestern I had the good fortune of working with several nationally renowned Chicago artists including Ed Paschke and William Conger.
I ultimately sought a graduate degree in developmental psychology to explore creativity and motivation and how they reveal themselves in the lives of eminent individuals.
In 2023, following the devastating loss of my 21-year-old son, I I became acutely aware of the fleeting nature of life and left my research career to dedicate more time to painting and volunteering alongside my dog, Sandy.

About my painting
I strive to weave together my experiences, passions, and technical skill in every piece I create. My paintings incorporate tonal color, light and organic shapes interlaced with line and imagery to capture the viewer's attention and encourage personal connections and unique interpretations. Nature, shape, and dynamic contrasts create a tapestry of visual storytelling that resonates with both private experiences and universal themes.
